about.

about.

Emily is a London based recording and mixing engineer. Originally studying Maths and Computer Science at QMUL and UCL respectively, Emily changed career paths in 2023 to pursue Sound Engineering. She realised this was what she was passionate about after recording and producing The Rolling Tones' debut, self-titled album which was nominated for 3 Contemporary A Cappella Record Awards (CARA) nominations. Emily stayed with The Rolling Tones recording, producing and editing their 2021 Christmas Single, Hang All the MistleTones, obtaining a further CARA nomination.

In 2022, Emily was accepted to study Music Production and Sound Engineering at the Abbey Road Institute. This led Emily to further fall in love with the studio. During the course, Emily engineered countless sessions in both Angel Studios and Abbey Road Studios working on large format consoles such as the SSL Origin and Neve Custom75. By winning a competition held by the institute, Emily had her song Oh, London (to be released) recorded in Studio 2 in Abbey Road Studios in a session produced by Haydn Bendall during a lecture.

It was at the Abbey Road Institute that Emily discovered her love for mixing and since graduating has been pursuing freelance mixing.

Emily is currently a runner at Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch. She is still taking on freelance recording and mixing jobs so please get in touch with Emily either via the contact form or by emailing emily.pulford@hotmail.co.uk
